Synopsis
Throughout most of my life, I've been an avid skateboarder, leading me to accumulate a collection of old boards. It wasn't until I discovered design in my early twenties that I found the ideal solution for the piles of old decks I had gathered over the years.
Material upcycling
Skateboards typically feature a construction of 7 layers of dyed maple veneer, a material highly esteemed in the luthier community as tonewood. Tonewood, such as maple or ash, is integral to the standard guitar manufacturing process, contributing to the distinct sound characteristics of renowned brands like Fender and Les Paul.
